Photos From the air

Some stunning images taken from waaaay up high.

More baby animal cuteness

The BBC alerted me to this charming tale of love and friendship today between apair of Sumatran tiger cubs and a set of young orang-utans. Sadly, the friendship is not destined to last as the zoo tells us that "tigers start eating meat when they are three months old and will need to be separated from their new playmates". Tear-jerking stuff.

Baby Panda...

Could not resist....

I have made a blog and found some pretty inventions

Oooh - look! I have made a blog. I am not entirely sure what I am going to post on it but I thought it might be a useful place to put things I find when on t'internet so I can find them and people can see them!

Some things that I found interesting today were inventions like...

This concept toaster! So pretty but I do wonder where you hide the crumbs.... Apparently the idea is that it allows you to see the bread while it is toasting so you're never surprised by toast that comes out too dark. I can't say I have ever been surprised by toast before however there must be a market or they wouldn't have invented it.

I also found this portable DVD player that FOLDS OUT to make a decentish screen - true genius. Now if only they could make my perfect e-book all would be well in Peta-Land.

Time Online have a list of best 2006 inventions but none as good at the toaster.

This timewasting task on the net made me think of items I "need" right now (rather than things I wish people would hurry up and invent) and one of these is the gorgeous yet fairly pointless for me iPhone but luckily I stumbled across this Apple press release just in time! (click for clarity!)
